Hi, everyone!
My name is Jiho Seo. I was born in Busan in Korea. I lived there for 20 years, and moved to Seoul in order to get into Hanyang University. My major was Molecular System Engineering. People often ask me what the major is. That is... a kind of Polymer Engineering in a easy way to explain. After I graduated from my university, I worked for 3 years at LG Chem as a chemical engineer. My job was pretty good. I got a good salary, and I was able to learn lots of things to operate factories. However, I faced a limitation of my knowledge on my filed, and I decided to get into a graduate school. It was very challenging because I had to give up lots of things I had accomplished so far. However, I believed I'm young, and I still have a little bit chances to change my life in my last 20s. That's why I'm here while studying English.
I got marry last year. My wife is a Penn State Student. This is the second reason why I must be here. :) I came to Pennsylvania just after got marry her. We enjoy watching movies or soap operas with dinner. On the weekend, we sometimes play badminton outside, but we don't do so much these days because of cold whether.
What I want in IECP is that I'm able to understand not only Americans' speaking, but also their culture. I believe that it is hard to experience foreign culture unless I live foreign country even though I can learn the language in my country. This is a valuable opportunity because everything surrounding me is surprising. I'm living with thankful mind everyday.
Thank you for listening my introduction. For 4 months, I will try to do my best. When I complete this courses, I would like to be someone who picks up all wrong points in this writing.
